Patsy’s won their second straight ASA National title by defeating the Rivershark Twins 2-1 in 8 innings of the “if” game. The Twins forced the second final with a (6-0) victory over Patsy’s earlier in the day. Steve Mullaley’s double drove in the only run for the Rivershark squad in the fifth inning. Frank DeGroat of Patsy’s tied the game with a 2-out single in the bottom of the 6th inning to tie the score. And then in the 8th inning, Thomas Makea (2-4 in the game) hit a dramatic home run to give Patsy’s the 2-1 Championship.
Adam Folkard hurled the complete game for Patsy’s and struck out 8. Frank Cox was the losing pitcher for the Rivershark Twins.
